Tips on Applying
The application form generally consists of five to six sections – it should only take 20 minutes to complete. The information gathered during the application stage is important to us and assists during the selection process. The quality of your application is critical in ensuring we understand how your skills and experience are relevant to the position.
Having the following information and documents ready will help you to progress quickly through the form:
· CV/Resume ready to upload – Please ensure your resume is up to date and provides relevant information that relates to the position you are applying for.
· Your availability – Most of our counters and stand alone stores operate seven days a week with extended trading on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Keep in mind the better your availability is, the more likely it is you will be selected to progress through to the next stage.
· Current referee contact details – Name, company and title, relationship to referee
· Work Experience details – Any current or previous positions that relate to the position.
· Education – This may include any schooling, Tafe, Makeup Artistry and/or Beauty Therapy courses.

Tips for the Interview
Interviews can be a daunting process, but you need not worry. Remember the manager interviewing you is a person too. Read through our tips for being prepared and watch your nerves disappear, to show the real spectacular you!
Expectations
A good rule of thumb is that the more you know about your interview the less nervous and more confident you will be. When arranging a date and time for your interview do not be afraid to ask questions about what is expected of you – such as who will be in the interview, what to wear, how the interview will work, length of the interview and whether there is anything you should bring etc…
Please be sure that you know
· Where - Location
· When - The time it takes to get to interview to be on time
· How - Method of transportation to get to the interview
Questions
Examples, examples, examples!!! The use of examples illustrates your point and will breathe life into your previous work experiences. It can also help to practice answering questions you think may be asked with family and friends. Be specific and to the point, avoiding terms such as “we” or “the team” as we want to hear about what you have done.
Process
It is usually a two-stage process, although may involve more steps for certain roles, such as a makeup or beauty trial on counter.
